Come join us in the East Blue Hill Park on Curtis Cove Road for a night of steel drum music, food, and fun!
On Monday, August 11, the East Blue Hill Library will host a “Party in the Park” event featuring the popular steel drum band Flash! In the Pans at the East Blue Hill village park. Back for the third consecutive year, this family-friendly, alcohol-free event is a chance to gather and dance for a good cause. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., hot food, desserts, and drinks will be available for purchase. The pan dance will start at 7:00 p.m. and last until 8:30p.m.
Based in Blue Hill, Maine, FLASH! is one of the largest community steelbands in the United States. Formed in 1990, members of FLASH! find as much joy in playing the steel drum (known as pan) as they do in sharing their music with enthusiastic audiences of all ages, from infants to centenarians.
Half of gate proceeds will support the East Blue Hill Library, with the other half supporting Flash. Suggested minimum donation is $5 per person.
